The Goulburn Show each March features hack events, dressage, harness horse events and showjumping. Pavilion exhibitions, side shows, outdoor exhibitions and food is also available. Displays of agricultural activities and products - equestrian, working dogs, cattle, goats, sheep and childrens entertainment.

Various regular and prestigious race meets held at the Goulburn & District Racing Club. The Goulburn Cup is held in February and the Tooheys Cup is run in late December.

Abseiling in Goulburn offers plenty of things to do: Abseiling for beginner and the advanced, abseil (and walk in) caving, guided bush walks, canyoning, and team building. Most of the activities are held at the Bungonia State Conservation Area near Goulburn.
